Specialized Expertise – MCC Specialized BHRS Program
Our Autism Program staff are trained in the principles of ABA, FBA, and effective intervention. We make it a priority to assess the needs of the family and tailor treatment to include support for the entire family.
Our Deaf/Hard of Hearing Program staff members are American Sign Language proficient, Deaf Informed and able to serve children with any level of hearing loss, utilizing various approaches to communication. Our clinicians are prepared to support families through individually tailored treatment for the family, which fully incorporates their chosen modality of communication (ASL, Aural-Oral, Total Communication). In addition, our staff has experience with providing culturally competent support to clients utilizing a variety of available assistive technology.
All BSC staff serving clients diagnosed with ASD in both programs are licensed through the PA State Board of Medicine and/or PA State Board of Social Workers, Marriage and Family Therapists, and Professional Counselors.
Staff members also receive the required training in order to satisfy licensure requirements set by the state and specific licensing boards including 2015 mandated Child Abuse and Ethics Trainings.
